Privacy and personal data
This notice explains which personal data we process when you contact Westonya 3D Printing Technologies, why we process it and which tools are involved. It is published to meet our information obligation under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 (KVKK). In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.

Our WhatsApp line and AI-assisted replies
Our WhatsApp line +90 312 311 89 54 runs on the WhatsApp Business Cloud API. When you write to it, the first party answering you is “WestAi”, an AI-assisted digital assistant — not a human. It answers your question and explains pricing and process; when the job calls for it, or whenever you ask, a member of our team takes the conversation over. You can request a human at any time by simply writing that you would like to speak to someone.
Data processed
- Your phone number (your WhatsApp ID)
- Your WhatsApp profile name
- The content of the messages you send and the replies we send
- Photos, documents and model files you send (STL, STEP, PDF and similar)
- Message timestamps and delivery status (delivered, read and similar)
Purposes
- Answering your questions and quote requests
- Communicating with you during ordering, production and delivery
- Monitoring the quality and accuracy of our customer service
What you should know about the AI
- To generate a reply, your message text, the earlier part of the conversation and the photos you send are transmitted to the Claude AI service provided by Anthropic PBC (USA).
- Information given by the assistant is indicative; a binding quote is only final once our team confirms it in writing.
- The whole conversation is stored in the message panel on our server and is visible to our team.
- Please do not send special categories of personal data (health information, ID scans, card details and similar) over this line; it is meant for technical and commercial correspondence.
The quote form and the model files you send
When you fill in the quote form on www.westonya.com we process your name, company name, phone number and e-mail address, together with the description you write about your part and the model file you upload (STL, STEP, OBJ, 3MF and similar). We use this to prepare the quote, plan production and contact you.
- Your model file is stored on our server in Frankfurt, Germany for use during the quoting process.
- The form notification is delivered to info@westonya.com through our e-mail infrastructure provider.
- The designs you send remain your intellectual property; we do not share them with third parties or use them in marketing without your permission.
The instant price tool on the site runs in your browser; a file you load there is not sent to us unless you submit the quote form.
Software trial and licence requests
When you fill in the free trial form on the WestonyaCut (cut.westonya.com) or WestonyaVitray (vitray.westonya.com) pages, we process your name, phone number, e-mail address and, if given, your Instagram handle. We use this to create your trial licence, send your username and password by e-mail and manage your licence.
- The commercial electronic message consent checkbox is optional and unticked by default. If you tick it we may send campaign and product announcements; the date, time and wording of your consent are recorded. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to info@westonya.com or by using the link inside the message.
- You get your trial licence whether or not you give this consent; it is not a condition of the trial.
- 3D model files you open inside those programs never leave your computer; they are not sent to us.
Cookies and visit measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 on our sites to measure visitor numbers and see which pages are useful. It places a cookie in your browser and processes data such as your IP address, device and browser information, the source you arrived from and the pages you viewed. The measurement is for aggregate statistics; we do not identify you by name from it.
We also use technical session cookies to prevent form abuse; these are necessary for the site to work.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Analytics entirely, you can use Google's browser add-on.
Recipients and international transfers
We do not sell your data or hand it over to third parties for marketing. We only use the following service providers in order to deliver our service:
| Party | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Cloud API) | Delivery of WhatsApp messages | Outside Türkiye |
| Anthropic PBC | Generating AI replies; message text and photos you send are transmitted for this purpose | USA |

| Google (Analytics 4) | Visit statistics | Outside Türkiye |
| Our e-mail infrastructure provider | Sending form notifications and licence e-mails | European Union |

Because some of these providers are located abroad, your data is transferred outside Türkiye. The transfer is necessary for the service to be delivered and is carried out in line with the transfer conditions set out in article 9 of the KVKK. Contracts are in place with these providers requiring them to process your data only on our behalf and for the stated purpose.
Your data may also be shared with competent public authorities where we are under a legal obligation, and with our accountant as part of our financial records.
Retention and security
- WhatsApp conversation records and the files you send are kept on our server in Frankfurt, behind an encrypted connection accessible only to authorised staff.
- The server is backed up daily; backups are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- We keep your data for as long as our relationship continues and thereafter for the limitation and retention periods required by applicable law, after which we delete or anonymise it.
- If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will do so unless a legal ground requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Under article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose,
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
- request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
- request erasure or destruction within the conditions of the law,
- request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to the third parties it was transferred to,
- object to a result against you produced solely by automated analysis,
- claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
